Welcome!

I’m Jamelia (also known as Jam) and I’m a Full-Spectrum Doula (FSD), certified through Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings (BADT). I’m originally from the Chicagoland area and moved to the West Coast in 2016… I relocated to Yakima, WA in 2024 with my partner and our two cats.

I’ve always been interested in finding a vocation where I can help my community. From navigating my own health journey, to supporting my friends and family on theirs, I saw my calling take shape, and I can’t imagine doing anything else.

In addition to my doula certification, I am an herbalist (pursuing her certification in clinical herbalism) and currently enrolled in a course to become a functional nutrition specialist. I chose these disciplines to better support my clients with their needs that may present themselves through every part of their pregnancy and birth journey.

If you have questions or would like to work with me as your doula (or connect if you’re a birthworker!) feel free to follow me on Instagram @squashblossomdoula.
